News
Well about all I can say about this past week is OMG!!! After a one night, one time rehearsal with our new guitarist Duffy King we went out and put the blues world into a whirlwind not knowing which way is up!!!. Thursday night we strolled into Lowell and wow what a beautiful town, it is a must see if you have never been there. The setting was just incredible, the stage was located on the boardwalk on the river with the Lowell Showboat directly behind us and there were also lots of boats and pontoons on the river anchored to watch the show too. From the opening song to the last song the 1,500 plus crowd about blew us of the stage with their applause it was so loud. Everyone was so nice and polite, we were honored to be able to play for the town of Lowell and have such a great time.I have a pretty good feeling we will be back again plus we had some promoters in the audience that assured us we will getting some pretty nice festivals added to our calendar for next summer.

We were able to get a breather on Friday but we were right back at it Saturday with a 1 hour show in Davison at 1:00 and a 2 hour show in Oxford at 4:00. It was another beautiful hot summer day in Davison for the "I Chews The Blues" festival which had everyone at ease and in a great mood. We were the opening act to kick off the show and I still think they don't know what hit them they were so blown away by our music and talent. After the show it was one person after another saying how much they loved us and thought we should have been the headliner!!! (Stay tuned for next year ; - ) The Staff & Michigan Sound were absolutely wonderful and we would like to also give a special thanks to Maggie King for inviting us to play and putting together such a nice event.

We didn't have much time to hang around afterwards at Davison and we had to load up and head down to Oxford for their "Celebrate Oxford Festival". By now it was getting pretty hot and there was no letting up either. It was another nice setting with the car show, all the vendors selling all kinds of kool stuff and all the different activities going on too. It was kool for the crowd too because they had the option of sitting in the seats in front of the stage or stiing in the tiki bar area in the shade at the Oxford Tap Room. Even with all the heat the crowd was still able to whoop it up and cheer us on making it a nice way to wrap up the day.

Next we move on to Linden, MI to play at the "Summer Sizzle Concert In The Park", we hope to see you there!

ALL OF US IN ARGENTUCKY BLUES IS GOING TO MISS AXXMANN MATT MACDERMAID, HE HAS GIVEN 110% THIS PAST YEAR TO THIS PROJECT AND WE WISH HIM ALL THE BEST.

About Argentucky Blues
Argentucky Blues
Bassist John Michael King of Argentine Michigan had a vision in the summer of 2005, but he knew it would take some time and patience to put all the right pieces of the puzzle together. John had been touring the previous 3 summers with a blues band that was fun, but the music was just not the style he felt burning in his soul. He knew right from the start he would recruit his cousin Charles David Stuart on percussion--not only because of his playing ability, but also because Charles' love for the blues was the same as his (maybe even more). The lead vocal part was pretty easy. John and his wife Sara made a trip to Hell (Hell, Michigan that is) to listen to vocalist Johnny Mac. Having been highly recommended to him by a fellow musician, John knew right away he was the man for the job. Johnny had that deep soulful sound and true blues feel John was looking for. John convinced him to join his project, singing music he truly felt in his heart.

Guitarist Duffy King long time friend and fellow musician was a perfect fit with his energetic, kinetic grooves, driving rhythms, searing, blistering leads, finesse and feel are words that have been used to describe Duffy's style of guitar playing. Duffy started playing the guitar at age 11, and began playing professionally at 18, basically having almost a lifetime of professional experience. Hailing from Northern MI., Duffy has spent a large part of his life living in the Detroit area, amongst it's great musical heritage. He also lived in South Florida, New York City, while giging & touring extensively throughout the U.S. and all four corners of the world. Along with constant performing, Duffy has done numerous studio sessions, including nationally televised ads as well as major label releases that have been nominated for Grammy Awards and Billboard Magazine awards.
