News
Well the "Argentucky Blues 2008 Summer Tour" has officially begun and it was a real scorcher too. Blistering hot soulful blues, temperatures in the 90's, 100% humidity and ice cold beer, it doesn't get any better than that now does it.

It was nice to finally get out and play for our fans after a long cold winter, writing, recording and rehearsing, actually a bit too long. We would like to thank all of the people who put on such a great event and to all the wonderful fans that came out to see us at the "Jackson Blues Festival". The show went perfect with no problems at all, the sound company was great to work with and things went smooth as silk. Johnny Mac was spot on with his deep soulful vocals, Matt and his ability of dishing out some serious blues guitar melodies and leads, Charles and his unmistakable style of chops and grooves and Johnny K's groovin' melodic bass lines locking in with his cousin Charles creating a rhythm section to be reckoned with.

After the show we walked through the crowd and met allot of wonderful people who really loved our show and commented on how they loved our different style of blues and how refreshing it was.

Next we move on to Oxford, MI to play at the Hot Blues & BBQ, we hope to see you there!

About Argentucky Blues
Argentucky Blues
Bassist John Michael King of Argentine Michigan had a vision in the summer of 2005, but he knew it would take some time and patience to put all the right pieces of the puzzle together. John had been touring the previous 3 summers with a blues band that was fun, but the music was just not the style he felt burning in his soul. He knew right from the start he would recruit his cousin Charles David Stuart on percussion--not only because of his playing ability, but also because Charles' love for the blues was the same as his (maybe even more). The lead vocal part was pretty easy. John and his wife Sara made a trip to Hell (Hell, Michigan that is) to listen to vocalist Johnny Mac. Having been highly recommended to him by a fellow musician, John knew right away he was the man for the job. Johnny had that deep soulful sound and true blues feel John was looking for. John convinced him to join his project, singing music he truly felt in his heart.

During the spring of 2007, John received a call from a local drummer and friend who needed a bassist to fill in until they were able to find a permanent replacement. During this time Argentucky Blues also needed a hot guitarist, so John put out some feelers and brought in guitarist Matt MacDermaid. He knew right away Matt had what it would take to fill the final piece of the puzzle. They immediately hit it off and after several weeks of playing together and talking about nothing but playing the blues they decided to join forces.  With Matt’s ability to play melodic rhythms and his blistering (but tasteful) lead solos the final ingredient to getting Argentucky Blues out on the road was in place.
